Kawaii Ne is a publication that highlights the fashion from the Harajuku shopping district in Tokyo, Japan as a cultural lens.

Both the table of contents and editor’s letter have different variations depending on the content of the current issue. Kawaii Ne can be both eccentric and restrained, so I wanted to show different options.
Departments
The first department, Nihon Drip, focuses on hype beast destinations and their origins. The second, Mahou Hito, highlights designers and other influential people who made Harajuku what it is today.
Features
My Skin Burns is a story about the common practice of skin bleaching in Japanese culture. Cute & Creepy is a feature that dives into Harajuku’s way of making the macabre adorable and approachable.
